Did change the orders to 3k after looking at the eBay listing and noticed that 3k actually are golden yellow. Didn't think they went that low on Kelvins.

Slowride, sitting at the heights the car is sitting currently I'm running ET8 on the rear and ET15 on the front. The offsets will stay the same when I lower the front and rear further once I've got all the interior in for finally dial-in.

No problems as all the arches are rolled. I've taken an angle grinder to the front arches so there is no lip except for that from the GT lips themselves but it's about 2mm. Nowhere near the tyre wall.

Just a little update...

Had a look through a few pics of the SW last night and I've come to the conclusion it needs different wheels. MAMs will not be for sale though. I've already made the decision and I've opted for XXR 527 wheels in Chromium Black. Specs are 8.25Jx17" ET0 with a concaved face. I will be pairing these up with Falken Zeix ZE452 195/40 tyres.

Will get a PS done a little later on to give you an idea of what they will look like on the car.

We've finally got some progress...

Started with emptying the entire car just so I could do some work on it. Started with installing the satin black C-Pillars.

Just a wee bit of attention to detail...

Also got some fabric spray ordered so going to be spraying up the new rooflining and also the load cover. The plastic parts of the load cover will be sprayed in Satin Black to match the C-Pillars. Also I've got all the other pillar covers off and in the process of being sprayed up in Satin Black as well.

Started getting the GTi180 seats back into the car...

Going to be getting the rest in once I've wet vac'd all of the carpets etc and got all the rest of the bits in.

Also bought myself a 4 gauge wiring kit...going to get that wired in tomorrow...

Finally...got the rear wheels spaced out with 15mm spacers and dropped the backend a wee bit more.

More of an update later this week.

Not much work done today as have been working on a few other bits for customers with retrims etc. But I made a start on the wiring for the ICE. First things first was to get the amp positive ran to the boot of the car. May change if I can get some genesis amps to fit in the rear footwells, with falsefloors over the top to cover and protect.

Also set about getting the rooflining sorted out. Decided to not faf around with retrimming as I'm not keeping it once it's finished. So just going to spray the rooflining in Midnight Black fabric spray. 1st coat is done, just need another 3-4.

Going to be getting the A & B pillar covers sprayed up in Satin Black tomorrow and get the majority of the interior in on Sunday.

Craig & Ant, I understand what you both mean. But, I need something a bit more maturer now. I've enjoyed working on this and it'll definitely be there up with the big achievements, in a way. But after looking around I'm after selling this an the XSi and buying one car, on this occasion being a 1series MSport BMW. But will definitely be a diesel, purely due to the driving I do on a daily bases.
