hello peeps, me again, ive looked throu previous topics but cant find this issue, but im sure its in there somewhere lol.
qwik fit said they can sort it for £25 but said it might come back again, so im thinking if they can fix it, so can I.
any ideas chap?
also on the matrix front, on inspection i found it only had 1 bolt holding the pipes from bulk head to matrix, so now ive fitted 2 more im hoping this was the problem. i pulled carpet up and no rust under that, its got a very think coating of plastic stuck on under side of carpet so dont worry about puddles to much, its just a wet carpet

Kwik fit will fix it for £25?! Get that in writing, it cost me just shy of £500.
Start by checking the wiring under the seats if you have side airbags.

That is your response to everything though
Its most likely the wiring under one of the seats, it is a very common problem.

It can also be a faulty Com2000 unit, likely to be that.
Airbag ECU, poor connection to the steering wheel airbag, wiring issue or seatbelt pre-tensioners.

Green connector plug under each front seat will be for the side airbags IF they are fitted.

If you could scan it with Peugeot planet / Citroen Lexia that would easily & very quickly point you in the right direction of the fault.
Its most likely the com2000 unit.
That's the complete light / wiper stalk assembly & steering wheel has to come of to change it, don't bother with a 2nd hand / used one, fit eithera new or a service exchange unit
Really need's a scan first to pinpoint the fault

Mines pre plexed but I got mine scanned and it had an open circuit on the passenger airbag. When I got my alarm fitted the sparky hard wired the original plugs under the glovebox and it hasn't come back.
Try and get it scanned first, most garages should be able to do it or get someone in to do it for them
good luck!

Depends where you buy it from.
If your keeping the car for a while then a service exchange OR new unit is the best way.
Plenty of people around that sell new one's / refurbish them.
