Do a search - there is a reprogramming sequence to follow but it is specific to your car (age and model)

Give us some clues
Non plexed or multiplexed 206?
If it was plexed did you shut down / boot the BSI up correctly?

Your 206 is MULTIPLEXED
Start the engine
Press & hold the UNLOCK button on the key fob for 10 seconds.
Hope you shut down / booted the BSI up correctly as that can stop things like remote locking working
Read this for info on the BSI & how to disconnect / reconnect the battery correctly

Shut down then reboot the BSI correctly & see if that improves things.

Does your alarm arm only on the deadlocks? ( one press )
OR
Does it also arm on normal locking? ( two presses )
Red alarm led come on & stay on if the doors are locked with engine running?

Alarm arms with first press, no indicator flash on second press. LED flashes when car is armed... No LED if door lock button is pressed when engine is running
