ok, will need to paint the rollcage myself as can't powder coating it (weld-in cage)
thinking about matt black/ satin black.
what kind of paint do i need? btw i am using paintbrush as i can't be bother to spray it.

I was going to say hammerite if your using a brush finish should look ok.

it said no need to use primer on the tin but i will just ask in case...
and how many layers do i need? would 1 layer be enough?

I guess enamel is the type of paint to use and if you do use hammerite you won't need primer as you can paint it straight onto rust for sure.

if ya gonna use hammer, ya will need to do a couple of coats, BUT it will have to be recoated in 3 hours, or it could look like ya fingers look like after being in bath too long!
use spray enamel, so easy, and give a nice glossy coat lol, it comes in orange too

Just use Hammerite direct to rust one, you shouldn't need primer.

no its a type of paint, pop to halfords they have loads.
if not got ya colour look online, will need priming first thou, but thats not hard

ok that sounds sweat, i might just stick with hammerite then as i think halford do stock them?

Halfords do stock them yes, around £7-8 for a smaller tin. What do you mean about thinners? It would be wise to clean the surface before painting yes.
