I've posted a few times about a warning that's appears when starting the car UNBLOCK DIESEL FILTER. A friend read the fault code on his snap on gear and came up with P2048 which related to the fuel cap sensor. This morning I've replaced the sensor with a new one from Peugeot and the fault is still showing when I start the vehicle. This didn't surprise me as I've read a few other posts saying that the fault needs to be cleared for the warning to go even after fixing the problem. My question is will any code reader/clearer be able to remove this or is it a main dealer only job? Id go to my mates garage but it's a 150mile trip.

have you checked the fuel additive level? this is in a tank under the car just infront of the rear axle on the passenger side. if this is low it will ring up code p2048. it is a pinky red coloured liquid.

I looked today and there's a good inch in it.
