If a car is Cat D, - it only has a crack in the bumper, will it make alot of difference to the cost of my insurance? i've got people telling me it'll like quadruple my insurance and some people saying it hardly makes a difference depending on the actual damage..... help! ![Smile Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif)

Cat D shouldn't make any difference to your insurance at all.
If it does, change companies ![Laughing Laughing](images/smiles/icon_lol.gif)

Not insurance, but it will be worth less when you sell it as a cat d even if it's cosmetic and gets completely fixed.

What he said^
My first car was a Cat D and I mentioned it to my insurance company and they said it doesn't make any odds.
And if it does - change due...

My gti was a cat c back in 2003, been a fantastic car, with no issues with insurance.
