well i just got a call from the garage Sad

they sorted the cooling leak .. just a new plastic connector Very Happy

now the bad news Crying or Very sad

although they say its inconclusive, theyve spun the wheels around on the ramp and took the motor for a run and say:

it could be a wheel bearing (thats not too bad i though) Confused
he suggested letting that get worse.

.... however, it could be your automatic gearbox (al4). Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

i didnt expect him to say it could be the gearbox, ive had no warning light flashing from snow to sport.
ive drove it in both sport mode and normal mode, so a bit of speed and urban driving and had no strange noises or gear dropping .. not even any overheating.

really not sure what to do now.... any ideas guys ?

I seem to be getting similar issues. Wobbling at higher speeds. Does the car sometimes tug randomly too? Mine does. Again I have put alloys on, same size as yours and it is more noticable. I have very slight play in the rear wheels. Not sure if that could cause it on their own. The things in the middle of the drums were a bit loose forgot what they are called. Hammered them back in but didn't do anything. Also I tried stopping on the handbrake and it was slowing down but it was very lumpy/gentle jerking. Not sure if this is related however

well , put the steelies back on again today.. still a very slight rubbing sound but at least dont give me a headache after 10 mins.

decided to leave it permanently on steels till either:

1. a bearing does go
2. gearbox blows up

think its time to file this one under "unsolved"

hate not having alloys on tho Crying or Very sad
