i was hoping that would be the case. going to have a look around now for some hose on ebay as it is only the piping that is broken.

more than likely be the rocker cover gasket thats leaking.

the thing is with k&n filter is quite expensive, not to mention you have to buy the cleaning fluid and oil it every time after you clean it :/

If you're using the full cans on your filter, then you're using way too much Laughing

The cleaning kit should last you a long time.

I've had a K&N cleaning kit for 5 years. It's not even half used yet!
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

rocket cover gasket..another thing i will have to look into then and more importantly price up.

as for the k&n as long as the cleaning kit isn't too expensive and lasts a couple of years it should end up working out about even. will have to look into it and decide as probably only have the car another 2 years at most, probably less with all thats going wrong with it!!!!!
