No I don't think so.
The switch just turns the compressor on. Its not controlled via temperature or rate of flow.

Didn't think it had one, was just checking because when I plugged PP in I get "ECU undetectable" and the air con doesn't work. The fan doesn't even come on when I switch it on.
Looks like I'm troubleshooting with the multimeter then.

Just doesn't work at all
The light comes on when pressed, but doesn't get any hotter/colder. Nor does the fan like it should when its switched on. The fan does work as I tested that with PP, and it spins fine. The idle doesn't increase either when the car is stationary and the AC is activated.

Does the compressor clutch engage? You can hear it clunk as it switches on.... though I guess not as the idle would be affected.
The compressor won't kick in due to inadequate refrigerant, check for leaks around the condenser/pipe work. It probably isn't the compressor thats at fault because in our climate its not overly worked.

Nah it does nothing except the little green light comes on.
I'll have a gander, need to service it and change the drop links anyway

It could be low / out of gas
The pressure safety switch will prevent the ac compressor running to protect the system & your wallet.
