Avoid Halfords 'performance' parts.
You can get things much cheaper online and better quality.
K&N, Green Cotton & Pipercross are a few decent brands.

If your after some sort of performance gain, forget it. If you want the chav induction sound of all show no go, go for it.

Well you exhaust and a filter will need to be declared to you insurance so it will go up regardless.
Just stick a pannel filter in

Panel filter all the way.
Induction kit is going to nothing to the car apart from increasing you MPG, which for a 1.1 is the last thing you want to do with the price of petrol these days.

The K&N one is less restrictive, more air = more power.

You would get more power if you stuck you feet through the floor and ran
