I've been all round the car and cant for the life of me find the root of this problem.

When the car is ticking over, apart from the normal diesel engine noise, its got another more shallower, higher pitch noise. It sounds like its behind the dash. As soon as i take the revs up, even slightly to say around 900/1000rpm the noise goes away.

Sounds like a rattling but not at the same time.

Its driving me mad, any suggestions.

Wrong side. It sounds like its more or less in front of the passenger but behind the dash.

Quite possible. Sounds more like air pressure than it does anything else.

Whats the brakes feel like?

Check the servo & vacuum pump for any leakage!
