Ok, a wee update for everyone!
Upon inspection my back axel is ok (was rather glad to hear that!) but i need a new shock absorber on the back, drop link and my driver side front brake disc is warped (as a result of my faulty bearing the other week im told) so need new discs and pads on the front.
Feeling a strange mixture of relief and frustration, another couple of hundred bucks down the drain no doubt but it could have been worse.
