Does anyone know of a garage or Auto electrician that can do BSI upgrades. Don't fancy paying Peugeot prices. Chorley Street Garage have been suggested by a car shop. Anyone ever used them for anything.
Thanks

Haha, I spent about 6 years living on Liscard Street, Atherton. Wink Grandad lives in lowton, Dad in Radcliffe. Wink Shall keep my eye out for you next time I am down.

Give him a PM, he will still probs work out cheaper than a garage if he can do it: www.206info.co.uk/Your...e=144.html

Only Peugeot will do upgrades, no aftermarket place will touch doing updates. Even some Peugeot garages dont.

What are you wanting to do?

Upgrades and feature activation are two different things.

Thinking about the twin hazard switch, but I don't think the car has been serviced properly for a few years, so thinking that a tune up and general check over really. Had the car 3 weeks and finding tell tale signs that it was never looked after.

Doing the service. just didn't know if there was an easy way to tune the computer. At Rover, we used to have to connect to electronics to set idle and fuel/air ratio. I have a copy of PP2000 v20.14 but when it loads it says it won't run on my system.

Only people that will tune the ECU are remappers, normal garages won't do it.

v20.14 is a old version

Had v22.14 and that said same so I opted for earlier version to see if it ran on vista. I will look at getting it remapped. I'm going to put it in for pre MOT soon just to see how bad it actually is.

Pointless really having a 1.4 8v remapped, won't gain much for the amount it costs.

Do you have the interface for it?

Not yet, working on that one.
I'll just give it a good service and see where I go from there. I'll give you a shout if I need anything activating. Now I'm told I've got to put a light in the glovebox.....women

That only costs a fiver for the parts if you have the loom.

Look behind the glovebox and near the heaters, for two wires, one with a white connector and one with a brown one.

You can't 'tune' modern engine. They simply don't go out of tune. Change all the servce items and that's as good as it will be without modifying it.

Are there going to be any ECU updates on a car that's been out of production for a few years?
