Evening peeps. I would like some opinions please. I took my 206 to have my roof Carbon wrapped on sat and whilst being wrapped the lacker decided it didn't want to be on my car anymore (poor job from previous sprayer/owner) Crying or Very sad . So now not only did i not get my roof wrapped i've got to get it resprayed. Now do i respray it the original colour (moonstone blue) and still get it wrapped, or save some money and just get it sprayed black as its the same price regardless of the colour? I'm tied because if get it sprayed black and decide for a change i'l have to have it resprayed the original colour again whereas if i get it wrapped i can just remove the vinyl. Oh and it to match the carbon bonnet?! Opinions please??? Thanks

It all depends on how much you really think you are going to want a change on the roof, I have thought about it but the cost and also insurance as its a change from standard.

If i was to do it i on my car i would go fro black but so long as it is quite a close look to the carbon fiber.

The Mrs on the other hand thinks it will look to odd so to go for the whole paint job and then get it wrapped.

Good luck what ever, Hard decision Smile

It doesn't affect my insurance aslong as i don't go over my 240bhp limit i can pretty much do anything to my car. I still have to declare it. I didn't realise it would affect the insurance. And yeah i was wondering if the black and the carbon would go but i got gloss black wheels and wing mirrors????

real carbon fibre is not shiney.

is the clear gel coat on it that gives the shiney apparaent

My insurance goes up everytime I make a change like lights wheels etc. I got told that stickers are classed as decorative changes=more premium.

Anyway back to your car I would go for the black spray option if the carbon fibers won`t match. Just my views Smile

Ah ha with these prices I do see where that its a saving of over 100% for just thwe wrap. On these grounds I would go for the wrap. Cross the bridge later down the line if you wanted to change the look again.
