hi there
I have a 2000 'X' reg 206 2.0 HDI I currently have a standard heater control unit but want to know if its possible to fit the digital climate control from the GTI, I have searched the net but can't find any info.
If its possible what do i need to do? Also my MDF only displays the time atm, if i get the GTI MDF can i get any other on board computer information?
thanks

Its only because most people don't understand how climate control really works & then moan when it turns itself on

You need the whole climate control box, panel, sensors and wiring loom.

If the climate system is set to a low temp & its hot inside the passenger cabin it will turn itself on to try & cool the car.
If the climate system is set to a high temp & shock horror it's cold inside the passenger cabin then guess what, it will turn itself on to try & heat the car up.
Set it to 21 deg C & leave it on AUTO during this time of year.
Come the summer ill have it on 14 deg C & AUTO
The climate system get's it's temp reading's from the outside temp sensor on the passenger wing mirror & also the cabin temp sensor behind the slotted grill on the passenger airbag.
