Use a socket that just goes over the end of the nut, whack it on with hammer and loosen the nut, then bang socket side to side to get it off, dont use one that to tight though, you'll never get it off and you will damage the socket.

is it a GTi you got? have you located a gearbox?

The type of locking wheel nut it is doesnt allow me to put a tighter socket on it :/
These are the locking wheel nuts www.incarshop.co.uk/ac..._VPC36.jpg
It happend to one on the other side afew months ago, i should have learnt my lesson then and taken them all off and brought some decent ones, however when it went before i just drove down to my local tyre shop and they put it on the air gun and got it straight off.

a socket over the top wil NOT remove these as there designed to snap the mushroom part of the head off if you do this.

DO NOT chew it anymore as it makes the job a whole lot harder that way.

an air gun will remove it if you take it easy and put all your weight behind them

failing that you need a bolt weled to the top of them to undo it.

( had this exact same thing before i crashed my 206 Wink )

Yeah heard some other people had some issues with these bolts they seem to be cheaply made so are easy to brake, hopefully it will come off with a impact gun, just need to find someone whos got one i could use now :/

ahh i see, maybe try the tin foil trick it may or may not work but worth the try. basically put a bit of foil over the bolt then press the key over it and try too losen

Edit: just read you had your wheels powder coated, anywhere in coventry?

oh never heard of the tin foil trick ill give it ago tomorrow see if i can budge it :), i got mine done at city powdercoaters in birmingham, 30 per wheel if you leave the tyres on 20 a wheel if you take the tyres off for them. really good price and they did a good job on them so was well happy Smile
