hi all
got a problem with my 2003 1.6 xsi when you come to a stop or slow down to idle speed the engine turns off getting very annoying only used to do it when cold now its doing it all the time any suggestions to what is wrong its recently had new filters oil change and plugs cant do the fuel filter as it is one that is built into the tank according to the haynes manual

fuel filter in under tank, drivers side, rear wheel under the rear side window

It will be INSIDE the tank on a 2003 car, it's self cleaning according to Pug & doesnt need replacement.

Earlys ones are where you said, later ones are inside the tank.

The movement of the fuel inside the tank is meant to clean the filter Laughing

I had this with mine. Got 2 the stage that everytime I dipped the clutch I had 2 leave my foot slightly on the throttle 2 keep the revs from dieing.
Had the ICV stripped, cleaned and oiled and had no such problem since.
