any 1 had a problem with the Throttle Position Sensor ?
if so what problems did you experiance?

The car should still run because it can use the map sensor to detect throttle position/load.
I'm sure the ECU light would be on though if it was faulty.

..my engien management light doenst actually seem to come on when it detects a problem lol.
engein light didnt come on when it failed on my 1.6 either.
but only thing i can put down to the car backarowing when i hold rpm.

ye map sensor cleaner, same with throttle body, cam sensor change, crank sensor changed, temp sensor changed , plugs changed , knock sensor changed. running out of ideas now

My throttle position sensor was knackered, revs were all over the place.
You could put your foot down and the revs wouldn't increase then all of a sudden it would shoot off.

does any one have tps sesnsor resistace values for open , close, and part throttle?

With ignition on it should be either 0v or 5volts depending which wire you are probing.
Between 0.6-0.8volts with ignition on and throttle valve closed
Between 4-4.6volts with igition on and throttle valve fully open

Not sure on what the reading should be but the resistance should gradually increase and decrease as you open and close the throttle, it shouldn't be jumping all over the place.

well if your holding the throttle at one spot and the revs are jumping like that then there's clearly an issue with the signal, that or maybe air leak etc, its hard to tell without a fault code.
its from a 51 plate GTi 138 pre-plexed
£30 posted, thats ALOT cheaper than what they cost new

there is fault codes but i havent had time to clean them up and check agian recently since doing the work non of them were tps tho.
