Hi
On my GTi 180
When braking (more noticeable at higher speeds - above 30mph), the car vibrates - sorta like the feeling when the ABS kicks in. Doesn't happen on acceleration - just braking.
Any ideas what this could be? :/
there's plenty of life in the brake pads/discs + tyre pressures are ok.

Could be warped discs, wheels slightly wobbly.
Hard to say without seeing it!

most probably warped discs due to the overheating at some point. with warped discs when you brake it feels like your pumping the pedal real fast, fixed with new discs and pads, having said that it wont do any harm to leave it if you can put up with the judder

I found mintex pads were pretty crap tbh. EBC are very good but expensive.

Depends what mintex you get, the 1144s are normal road pads, the 1155s are slightly worse, or equal, when cold, but a lot better when warmed up as a 'fast road' pad.
