hi all i have a 1.4 16v project car recently renewed all brakes and pipes and have stuck everything all back together sat there and Bled all nipples so everything is fine but i have a hissing noise coming from the passenger side of car when braking but the brakes do apply but low down. is this normal or do i need to invistigate thurther ? any ideas on what it could be ? got me confused big time. thanks for any help.
pswhen engine is off the Brakes go solid and there is no wetness in passenger side

i have the exact same problem in my gti, sounds like its coming from under the glovebox yea??

happens when the car is not running aswell, well untill the brake pedal goes solid.

would be good to see if anyone knows what this is Smile

Then why does it still break fine etc if the servo is nackerd. Or is it the pipe that goes from servo

Could be either personally would check the hose first especially where it attaches to the servo. if not then an internal leak within the servo could mean that the servo is still operating however not at its full efficiency

sounds like air in the brake system to be fair
same problem as mine, been like that since i bought it a year ago and other than the slight annoyance cba getting it sorted until it going in for service etc next month Smile
