Hi, I noticed a black cable that appears to be disconnected but there doesn't appear to be anywhere to connect it. It is located in the bottom right corner behind the plastic cover you remove to change the headlight. There is a grey cable next to it that is already plugged in but this one is just dangling next to it. Any ideas what this might be for?

It sounds like you have the dual headlight plugs. The disconnected one is for the earlier frosted H4 headlights.

yup as said above, its a H4 plug for an earlyer version of headlights, and you can see the H7 plug plugged in to the newer set
