hi lads, this seems to be the place i can get the help i need.
fitted a replacement axel on my 1400 hdi van from a 14 hdi car, everything about new axel seemed fine beforhand but when driving the van still seems to have rear wheel steer on lefthand corners as woth old axel which was defo knacked as could kick wheel and it was asif loose, but this axel wheel has no play .
what i have found is there seems to be a difference on height between wheel and arch on either side,
is it poss this axel is sound just not setup right??
hope so as axel was 240 plus a ton to fit

ty indvance

Never trust any f****r!!
Could be that this axle is fubbered too... Crying or Very sad

You paid 260 for axle and fititng must be around 120
Should have got yours recon and the recon company offer free fitting too

Always ask for advice before splashing out big $$$$$ on job like this.

like i said above, get the garage who did the job check it for you.

one side higher than the other is never going to be right.

either the torsion bar is not set yp correctly or one of the dampers is knacked

If you still have the invoice on the axle, check it for any kind of guarentee. I had one fitted today and there's a 60day warranty on the part, not exactly a lengthy period but better than nothing !
