When I turn the steering when stationary, the engine revs a bit.
with the subwoofer/stereo on, I can hear more power on the engine? especially reversing.
what does the car thinks it is doing? drive off while turning the wheel?
don't want to make things worce that's all

It's normal at there is more resistance, so more power needed for the PAS pump.

And turning the audio on takes more power out of the battery so the engine need to turn a bit more for the alternator to keep up with the electricity demand ![Razz Razz](images/smiles/icon_razz.gif)

As above apart from the reversing thing :s
Although I had a few SEAT's before that sounded like the engine picked up a bit when selecting reverse but after a little bit of confusion I worked out the air con system auto switched to recirc rather than fresh air to avoid exhaust fumes filling the cabin when going backwards. Which I thought was clever.
Not sure on the 206's tho, maybe extra power drain from the reversing lights?

It's a VW thing with the recirculation in reverse.
206's don't do it.
