I'm in a right pickle at the moment with wiring up my morettes! Crying or Very sad

Lee is currently helping me, but is a busy man, so I thought I'd seek others' help.

I can get the HID bulbs wired up no problem, by copying the picture below. (The picture below is from my old 180 which had fake morette's. I currently have genuine Velo morettes)

Where the connectors splits off, and plugs into the fake morettes' full beam, the bulb connector is not the same as my genuine morettes'.

So my problem is - getting the full beam wired up. Do I need H4 to H1 adapters? :s

Please someone help and tell me what I need Sad

The current bulb I can wire up and get working - which is no use to me.

The actual bulb type I need to be able to wire up and get working.

You can buy the correct bulb from the net and it just connects into the ballast. What bulb type is it you need?

Im confusing myself I think. Sorry Mike.
I can get the HID bulbs for the dipped beam all working and everything.
But for the full beam, the outter optic, I cannot!

The connection currently is the H4 bulb as above.
But I need a connection type for a H1 bulb..

I think I understand what you mean. Does your HID not look like this?

That is an H1 HID. The bulb is hardwired to the wiring.

Yeah it does Smile

But obviously, Im only have HID bulbs in the dipped beam lens'.

For the full beam lens', but the normal H1 bulbs are going to be used. But I dont have a connector to plug into it Sad

This is a more clear picture of what wiring I actually have.
This picture shows it all for fake morettes thou...

Are you trying to plug an HID on to a normal bulb? How come you're putting HIDs on full beam anyways? Would you not be better off with halogens?

No.

In the middle optic (dipped beam), I'm putting HID bulbs into the lens. - which is all fine and wired up.

In the outtter optic (full beam), I'm putting normal halogens in.

But with the connectors I have, the connection type is for the H4 bulb, but I need it to work with a H1 bulb

Ohhhhhhh. All makes sense now. Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can get adaptors. Or you could try and get hold of a H1 connector, chop off the H4 one and rewire?

That's a good question...I really don't know what shop would sell an adaptor like what you're after. Would an auto electrical shop have anything like that?

What you could do is:

Find out which wire is positive and negative, chop off the end,

connect spade connects on each, positive one to fit the H1 bulb, and there should be something similar to the connector on the actual unit, connect the negative on that, then try!

hang on, dont you have 2 wires coming from your fullbeam optic anyway?

could match them up to the 2 from the block?

if not, then i guess you can connect one wire straight to the bulb (+ve?) and the other to the connection bit next to where the bulb goes in. It might already have a wire hanging from it. Its the metal part that sticks up about 2cm from the bulb.
