Dogging can cause sticky windows Wink

In all seriousness though, my brothers window was sticking, took the door panel off, greased all the sliders up and "helped" the window down, works a treat now when you press the button. He hadnt put it down all winter so think the runners/mechanism dried up a little!

Electric window faults, just find a VAG owner Wink

Its taken VAG several years to redesign there crap window regulators, there so problematic that Valeo do repair kits Laughing

Done a mk4 Golf & a Bora, both classic snapped window cable & glass drops to bottom, p**s poor design but what else do you expect from VAG Rolling Eyes

Clearly not researching enough, I've got two very basic books that contain information regarding troubleshooting and faults for electric windows.

Stop been lazy. Do the research, read your core text, look at academic articles, read magazines, browse the internet, read thru Automotive forums for electric window problems.

Free riders do my head in.

Thats gotta be the worst subject (apart from sticky doors) you could have choose. Why not focus on the BSI system of something with more meat behind it.

Your kidding right? The guy can't do the research and know what causes sticky windows. How's he going to be able to talk about something like the BSI using CAN/VAN all the different eeproms, relays, capacitors and stuff like that in there? Laughing
