Evenin' all,
Picking this wee bogey up on Saturday, and plan on having a bit of a play with it as I daily it for a few months. Took delivery of some Nimrods this morning, and also have a few other bits on the way.

It's an '01 LX with less than 80k on the clock, and a valid ticket 'til September - a gift from a friend as he upgraded to something a little more modern. Excellent timing too, as my current daily will be coming off the road for some TLC soon. I'd carried out some little jobs for him over the past two years, and this was his way of saying thank you for the free labour I'd provided.
I'm a BMW guy myself, and have a background in German cars, so this is something a bit off-beat for me, but I intend on having fun with it, and maybe tidy the bodywork up whilst I'm at it.
Here's a glimpse of the last job I did on it, after a delivery driver ploughed into the side of it:

I must admit, I'm having a hard time sourcing Crystal Green (KRV) paint for this in spray can form, as I want to touch a few things up. If anyone can point me in the direction of a supplier, I'd be most grateful!
Now then, I'm off to unwrap these Nimrods....

They’re in need of a refurb, but that’s exactly the type of thing that’ll keep me occupied during ownership of this runt. Plus, they were dirt cheap! I’m spending no more than £500 on this as a project (excluding maintenance). The main objective with this is car is to save me money, which can then be put back into the real daily's makeover.
Anyway, preview of the Nimrods:

Sadly, I could only fit three of four in the boot of my car due to the design of the underside of the parcel shelf. Still, I doubt the boot on the 206 will be as accommodating, haha:

I’ll update this as my wee project progresses!

Did you get the correct alloy wheel bolts for those wheels?
You cannot use your current steel bolts as there different ( taper for steel wheels & flat seat with washer for alloys )
First thing is a set if crystal headlamps for more usable light output - easy upgrade.

I did not... However, I’ll be spacing the wheels slightly as these tend to look a little lost without them from what I’ve seen elsewhere, so I’ll be getting longer bolts anyway. Cheers for the heads up though - very useful little nugget of info.
I’ve already got a set of crystals on order, but kind of like the vanilla spec look, and may end up upgrading the bulbs to get a better light output. It all dependant on how easy it is to swap H4 to H7...
Definitely keeping the Phase 1 rears on there though. I like them.

Have a look behind your headlamp for a grey 3 pin plug not connected to anything / taped up out the way.
That's the plug for the crystal headlamps.
If it's not there then plug parts are cheap from Peugeot / Citroen dealer.
You need to change the headlamp stalk to get the dipped & main beam working together on the crystals OR you can mod inside the original stalk.

Brilliant, thanks for the info. Crystals should arrive either tomorrow or Monday. I’ll polish them up and decide then which clusters I’ll run on the car, and sell the other set.

The twin H7 crystals give far superior usable light output compared to the H4 frosted headlamps your car currently has fitted.

Picked the car up last Saturday, and taken delivery or a few more parts for it, two lots of which arrived this morning:
GTI rear bumper and crystal headlights -

I did have a GTI front bumper on its way to me, but this was before I discovered the fitment problems surrounding the fitting of a GTI front bumper to a car with non-GTI/CC wings... I'm probably not fitting the rear bumper either now, as it'll look daft, but I'll throw it into storage for now in case I end up stumbling on a GTI wing bargain at some point soon.
(I'd like to point out that this photo was taken in work; my carpets are in a better state than that...)
Still having trouble sourcing a UK supplier for Crystal Green (KRV) paint for this in spray can form - if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be most grateful!

Have you tried your local dealer for the spray cans? Going back 7 or 8 years ago I think it used to be about £6 a can.

I have, but I've emailed another local dealer now as the original dealer was less than helpful. Thanks for your response!

Would be better to pop along to your local automotive paint supplier & get them to match what's already on the car instead of going by the paint code.
Remember its an old car & the paint will have faded since it rolled out of Ryton all those years ago.

True, but then it doesn't have to be perfect; it's a 16yo 206 LX....haha

Well, it was a short-lived affair, but sensible motoring was never the way to go for me, so it sold last week and the new owner is picking it up tomorrow. Didn’t even get a chance to refurbish those wheels or lower it!
