Wanting to paint my fuel cap, got an aftermarket GT style metal one. What black paint do you think would be best as in what type?

use a primer after keying the surface etc then normal car spray paint and some good lacquer! Smile

I done mine, you will get the best quality by sanding thoroughly with 600ish grade sandpaper, then 3 light coats of etch primer, dry sand with 1000 grade, 3 or 4 light coats of colour (halfords can will do) sanding 2000 grit inbetween coats that have been allowed to fully dry, then 3 coats of lacquer, 2000 grit on the final outcome and use a good polish

If you want a plain glossy black use hammerite smooth in spray form. Its good stuff and you don't need to primer or anything. Thats the easy and idiot proof way Very Happy
