having been quoted £250 for a new wiper motor(major rip off imo),iv`e decided to take it out myself and have a fiddle with it,just wondered if it`s a difficult job

No too big a job
1 ten mm bolt on the bulkhead.
Remove the windscreen wipers, then remove the platic trims on the window. Just poppers hold that in to pull hard. Then two large bolts where the wiper studs come through. Adustable spanner will take those off.
After that the whole unit will pull out. 30mins -1 hour job maybe

50 minutes according to Peugeot. But saying that, they charge 20mins labour to change the wiper blades
