Rover had the transponder in the remote control fob. It was separate to the key. You could start the car with the fob in your pocket.
As for peugeot, you will need to buy a blank key and circuit board from ebay. Contact Lee as he sells the virgin transponders, then PP needs connecting so that the transponder can be programmed to the car.
I asked at local auto locksmith about programming a transponder. They said if i supplied the transponder, then it would cost £35 to program it. Still cheaper than going to the dealer.

I can supply you with the mechanical key cut number and security code for £1
I'll also supply the the virgin transponder and code it for you for £35 (excluding fuel cost if you want me to come to you, 60p a mile after the first 20)

How much for just the virgin transporter sent to over here Lee?
