Thats very OLD buggy bsi software
On the newer bsi software versions they changed it so you had to flash the main beam to get the dipped headlights to stay on for 30 seconds.

It was a 2002 GTi, I liked it. Never had any issues with the electrics with it. Always soft booted it etc.

The bug is only very minor, not life or death & your lucky if it happens once a year

It's only hexdecimal binary in the BSI, same as the engine ecu.

It's hex but its related to binary, just more user friendly

Hexidecimal is a little bit better than binary, only by a smidge
Its very rare to find someone coding in machine code tbh
