Basically planned to get car cammed before fcs bin putitng in soo much effort for research been speaking with Kam Racing and they believe the best setup is the cat cams in which run on a standard drivetrain and it will nto needed uprated springs to run. He said he also believes as it is my pulleys will be ok as he thinks there vernier but my mate from citroen is sayign once car is cammed and mapped it wont run properly without uprated springs etc can anyone help?

Cheers Jay

Check the cam number on the Cat Cam website... you should find that Kam Racing is correct here.

If the cams need valve pockets enlarging or machining into the piston then the cams will be of longer duration than standard. Such cams also need uprated valve springs.

If the cams are a straight swop it suggests they are just higher lift than standard which means they shouldn't need uprated valve springs.

As for "mate from citroen is sayign once car is cammed and mapped it wont run properly without uprated springs ", it won't run properly at all so you'll not get as far as remapping it.
