Right, had my first attempt at getting the Pug looking a bit smarter this weekend, succeeded a bit - not as much as I had hoped to but anyway, here's what I've achieved

How it started when I bought it -

First thing to tackle was the grey wheels, so I used this - got it off ebay, £5.75 and included a free microfibre cloth -

At the same time I gave the car a going over with Autoglym HD Wax and this was the result -

Next I turned my attention to the state of the front bodywork. Unfortunately the wing was painted by a berk previously, the bonnet had the badge hole filled in by the same berk, and the badge bar was cream crackered. Fortunately I found the right panels in the right colour for £70 (2 wings, bonnet and badge bar), so I went about fitting them.

Before:

Halfway point

After

It still doesn't line up right, know a bloke that does bodywork though so going to get him to take a look. Bonnet doesn't shut properly either, only on the safety catch - think the old bonnet had a kink in it which lined up - unfortunately the straight one doesn't!
