Hello everyone.

I am new to 206's, having just bought my first one this week.

It had quite a few stone chips on the bottom/middle of the drivers side rear quarter panel, so like a a complete amateur I tried to paint in the spots, but ended up making my panel look like a dalmation! The car is silver metallic and I could not get the touch up paint shiny, so the spots really do stand out like a sore thumb. Embarassed

I have read the article on painting your own panel by ste206, which is really helpful. Given that the panel is not removable in my case (not easily anyway) can I use spray paint to cover it and blend into the rest of the panel? My wife was really annoyed when she saw how badly I did the painting (the rest of the car paintwork is in great condition), so please help me avoid a divorcer, or worse!

I have bought some decals that should cover most of the painting afterwards to help it blend in too.

thanks for any help you can give.

get it sprayed by a pro really not worth the hassle trying to touch it up yourself.

thanks tomd0801754! I will try that straight away!
Andy180 - I am too tight to have it sprayed pro, the car is old and probably not worth it anyway.

thanks again!
