Only thing in my eyes that this car is lacking is a set of wheels which will fill the arches perfectly and some stance (lowering) to it. All of which is being sorted over the next couple of months.

Actually I think it's fine as it is.
The old man used to have an SL320 in that really light sky blue colour.

Seb, do you think the car will look better once it's got OEM Silver Arrow wheels fitted to it instead of the wheel mania wheels currently..?
wheels are currently stripped down and just waiting on the lips to be repolished and currently deciding on what to do with the faces.
John, the whole session took 9 hours in total. But was spread over 4 days as I was doing it in my spare time after work etc. Car was kept under a 2 gazebos to keep it from getting rained on etc.

Well a set like the one of the pic you posted would be great, and the lowering will be great, the handeling will be much better, even though I believe this car handels very well on the road, but having no gap between the wheel and arches is looking for result :D,good luck and keep us posted with such a car

I would say so yes, this is the closest pic I could find to what my dad's used to look like, in this colour:
