Picked it up Friday and it was what I would call filthy, started cleaning it yesterday but the heavens opened on me, not one to give up I was out at 10pm last night putting on SRP(super resin polish) and buffing it off, then sprayed it with some megs quick detailer for a bit of extra shine, I think in the long run to get her looking better I'll need to machine polish it to get all the swirls off etc, anyhow here's a few pics

The black is growing on me, and yeah it's not too bad, only thing wrong I can see is it needs a new passenger wing mirror other than that it's in decent nick

Can you feel a noticeable difference between the 180 and your old gti?

The black one was cheaper that was the only factor Lee(paying for a wedding and honeymoon has put a budget on me :-(...), and cheers nickst, and regarding the difference quarmbo, in low revs the 138 feel perkier when driving normal, when you put your foot down the 180 feels alot quicker, also handles better and feels a bit more planted, not a massive difference but enough to notice

She only drove my gti about 3 times in 3 years so not really worth it, she's fully comp on her car so she will be covered 3rd party if she ever drives mine

Ah right, id have thought it would bring your insurance down having a girl on the policy though? It made a difference to my dad's policy on the evo when he added his misses to it. When he was sorting his renewal out, they only had him on it and when he added his misses it dropped by about £150, and he asked why and they said oh woman on the policy its a calming influence. Yer right, if he decides to boot it is she really gonna try and stop anything or just hold on for life haha.
