I have a 1999 2.0 206 GTi.. What pressure switches does it have on the car?

Without having a look, I know one needs replacing.. but the fella I got the car from said it was the pressure switch on the Power Steering?

The reason I ask.. Is because I didnt know there was one!

Thanks

There is a blue one under the engine. It raises the idle when you turn the steering

That would be the one! Is that an Oil Pressure Switch, or a Pressure Switch on the actual PAS line?

Any idea of a part number? Its been blanked off atm, because the old owner didn't have chance to get a new one before selling it.

Ask one of the guys for that .... they will find it on Service Box.

I dont have one fitted because its pretty pointless really. How many times do you turn your steering from lock to lock whilst at idle.... unless you like flat-spotting tyres

Where did you end up getting one from?

If its that much of a PITA to find... I'll just buy a new pressure switch from Peugeot

I took 2 oil hoses to pirtek and for them to cut my hoses and fit 2 new crimped fittings on the ends it cost me £55, to say there expensive is an understatement

Your paying full joe public price though Wink

Price also depends on the fittings used.
