Just signed up and had a look at the Peugeot Service box for my VIN. Lots of very useful information in there.
Is there anyway in the service box of looking at past warranty repairs done on the vehicle by chance?

there's a characteristics thing as well. think its next to the filter options... tells you everything it left the factory with

This is true.
Characteristics are great though, something to bear in mind in the future when getting a used car.
