I was going to lower the bar myself but seen as I didn't have a spring compressor it needed to be done at a garage anyway. So I thought I would save myself the effort of unseizing the torsion bar myself and let a garage do it.
I found out after that they had done it via the spline method. How likely is it to cause problems?
I have read the how-to on lowering the other way but do not know how to adjust it with this method.

Try it the way my mate says to. Throw a few bags of cement in the boot to drop it to required height & then heat the bars/arms up with a blowtorch and then just throw a bucket of cold water over it

What do you mean by spline method.
Remove bars and rotate round 1 or two?
If they are done with a dummy shocker then it is the correct way to do it.
Otherwise take it back because you have been ripped off
