First of all I did search first but couldnt find anything. I need to remove my drivers seat as its wobbling and rocking, I have undone the 4 torx bolts holding the runners down and left the battery disconnected for about 30 mins before hand. But i cant get the airbag connector to split. Please can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Lift the tab and pull?
When I had my wiring repaired by Peugeot they cut the connectors out and hard wired it

That's what I'm going to do I think.
Disconnect the battery for half hour, cut the wires and hard wire them back in.
That should be fine, right?

That's what Peugeot did so it must be
(I didn't have any issues with it)

Just use insulated crimps.
The reason why they chop them off and solder and heat shrink them is to stop the airbag fault. Loads of companies do this now.

Ohh seems extreme. The reason im trying to take the seat out is because its rocking back when i accelerate. When moved it earlier a bolt which had sheared off fell out of somewhere, anyone else had this?

Ive just fitted the Gti 180 seats into my 138 Gti and couldn't get that connection apart either, the red tab snapped off when i lifted it
Has it come out of the part of the runner that's attached to the seat?

Turn the connector over from how it's shown in your photo. There's a little green tab that you'll be able to push down and it looks like that frees it - but it doesn't
You need to get a slim screwdriver and slide it in just beneath thab tab - give it a wiggle and the connector can be pulled apart. Took me a while to work it out and I've done a few over the years.
Edit: Camera found - Like this mating half missing but you get the idea.
