Hey y'all,

So I've had this car for the best part of a year now, and in that time managed 16000 miles and a couple hundred pounds spent on mods. This is by NO means a good project, I just felt I'd share so you guys know how I roll

The car started off life as this:

Sounds were first:

Followed by a Cupra R splitter & alloy refurb due to the impeccable driving of the previous owner:

Painted engine bits and fly-eye application:

Longlife stainless cat-back to replace the rusted turd-pipe:

Debadged & removed decals/pillar vinyl

Sticker-bombing began (more applied since :s)

And finally some pic whorage:

Mods to date:
Full SP Kit
Red Rocker Cover, Calipers & Front Eyelet
Seat Leon Cupra R Splitter
16" Nimrod Alloys (Graphite Satin)
Alpine iDA-x305 Head Unit
Infinity Reference 5032i Coaxials in Rear & Infinity Reference 6530cs Components in Front powered by JBL 1004e 4-Channel Amplifier
JBL GTO1202D Subwoofer powered by JBL GTO 3501e Amplifier
Fully Sound-Proofed
EZR Colour-coded Centre Colsole
Fly Eyes Kit (Black Variant 2) applied to all lights
Longlife Custom Stainless Cat-back Exhaust

Future mods:
Remove rear wiper (bung bought!)
Colour coded bumper strips, side strips and wing mirrors
Lowered on adjustable JOM coilovers
Spacers if necessary to align wheels to body
Black painted rear drums
K&N Panel filter
Red Nimrod refurb (possibly)

Comments, criticisms and suggestions welcome (above the belt please!)

Always liked this car when you have posted pictures, looks mean

Were the calipers tricky to paint?

Nah not really..removed the wheel and gave them a good soak because of the years of muck..after that rubbed the crap outta em with a wire brush and then once dry/clean gave them a lick with the Hammerite smooth. Very easy mod and stands out well I think. And thanks Very Happy

Thanks dudes. The plan is to get it lowered once the worst of the winter weather is over. Gonna go with Kris B, and JOM coilies which Ive heard great reviews about (considering theyre budget). Want to drop 90mm at the front and 50mm on the back.

And JordGJ I may do the Nimmies next year before show season starts, but I wanted to do the whole body the same colour something like the car below, so it doesn't look like a GTi replica! (IMO it looks cleaner too)

So its been a while people, and a fair bit has been done. I've finally decided on the look and theme, and have even considered a fairly large bit of engine work. But thats all in the near future, so for now, I'll let the photos (and tiny captions) do the talking.

In early January I had an unfortunate run in with a pothole, which cost me an alloy and two tyres. Needless to say, I'm chasing it up with the local authority. Heres the dead rim.

I continued to drive on it for a few months, and even drove on semi slicks as I couldn't afford tyres at the time. Then, last month, some sh*t went down.

I decided I'd be going for a silver and red theme, and set about working the rest out so it would end up with a silver body and red alloys. I was going for the clean look, and managed to spray the bump strips etc myself, which I'm proud of if I may say so myself! I also ticked the following off the initial list, plus some extras;

Dewipered
K&N panel filter
Body coloured bumpers
Black calipers and drums
Black under-sills
More stickers applied to rear window
Toyo Proxes up front, Acceleras out back (195/45/r16)

Plus a damn good cleaning with Meguiars products whenever the chance arose.

This is how she sits at the minute, plus a before shot to refresh you guys.

As you can see, I managed to source a replacement alloy off good old eBay, but its silver. This will be dealt with as soon as funds permit it.

Still to do (hopefully by early August):

Lowered on coilovers
Body coloured mirrors and roof runners
High-gloss blood/cherry red alloys
Red valve and nut caps
Red fabric roof lining

Heres a basic photoshop someone on here did for me ages ago, just as an example to go on.

there's also been talk of an engine conversion, but I will be keeping that card close to my chest until it is confirmed.

Thanks for looking, and as usual comments and criticisms welcome.

Just ordered the red leatherette vinyl stuff for the roof lining, which will be fitted (or at least attempted) soon as possible. Slow and steady..!

More Photoshoppage, just to show what the car should look like by next month, minus the colour coded roof runners and wing mirrors. Uber excited now!
