hi can anyone help me , i went out yesterday to start the car and it just kept turning over so i called my breakdown by the time they came out i had it started so i drove about 3 miles then the car died , after about 10mins i managed to get it going again , left the car for 10hrs at work then the same again would not start. when the recovery came again the car started and he drove it on the wagon

Sounds like an electrical issue, alternator, coil pack, spark plugs or battery

Check the earth straps, they could be loose thats making it initially go off.
Then with it not starting leads to an immobliser problem, its either the ring around the ignition barrel or the chip in the key

i had this problem on my old grey 206
strange as it seems i just fitted a new battery and cleaned all the earth connections and it was fine after that

thanks guys , checked most of the above , is there anyway it could be a blocked fuel filter or dodgy fuel pump as there is a strong smell of fuel

could be a fuel leak? Or flooded?

its at the garage just now , the fuel isnt gettin fed throught , so weve changed the fuel pump and still nothing , any ideas anyone

filter if its fitted some dont have them?
tried blowing the pipes back to the tank
check injecter rail pressure

the pump isnt feeding it through seems to be electical is there any wires or fuses that could be faulty that i could check
