I would have thought they were one of the more underplayed hatches around...

Every thread I see where people say 180's are overrated I actually laugh. I agree with Rich, I've never seen anything good written about them...
Only OWNERS who actually know what they are talking about defending them (never seems to be an owner saying how overrated they are)
No wonder fellow car enthusiasts don't even recognise 180's as a choice for a second car performance hatch if their 206 boning audience don't even respect them.
I'd hate to think of what 206 owners tell their pals about 180's lol, because I know fellow car enthusiasts think the 138 is absolute dog s**t (hell even I do in terms of performance, sorry I'm no 206 fan boy just like the 180's hense owning another)
138's are not even considered for performance on many of the forums I use and are often compared to Saxo VTR's! So you can imagine why the 180 is also labelled 'dog s**t' if they are considered by 206 owners to be anything like the 138 in terms of performance (when they are not).
And it's no wonder, that I get the old... 'what have you got in that' comment when I have a play with 182's/ Type R's ect...
The fact is, whether the 138 owners like it or not, the 180 is the better car, quicker car, and all they do is try to justify why you should buy a 138 over a 180.
Okay, let me buy a 138 because it's...
-Better equippmed
-Better handling
-Much quicker
Than a 180... oh wait... you can see where this is going... drum roll... it isn't .
The only reason you should consider a 138 over a 180 is insurance groups which is why half the kids (younger drivers on this forum) can't have one. Anyone who says they would sooner have a lower spec car for in most cases the same money is full of s**t.
And just encase... I don't think the 180's are amazing or the best car in the world, I've had better, and will have better.

I agree with everything you've just said Jamie, people who say the 138 is a better car are fools.
