Cant find an inline filter as per the how to guide.....would mine be in the tank I've not had a look yet nut I've been researching and seems there are two - four variants.
If it is in tank/part of pump does it have a service life etc..... all info is greatly appreciated
Car is 1.4 auto 2005

Some have it, some don't.
As for the self-cleaning thing...
Tell me about it.

Yeah couldn't see it under the car near any of the rear arches hence the confusion. It looks like some of the 206's have it in the tank.
V9977 - I detect a note of sarcasm in your post.
Would I need to change this at some point ?
cheers

Fuel over here is absolutely diabolical, esp. on the islands.
Ordinary filters clog-up in no time and just get replaced (10 quid).
In-tank filters clap-out and the whole pump has to be replaced (170 quid), or worse.
No sarcasm intended.
