hey i took the folding mirrors off of another 206 and had to retro wire them to mine as the plugs didnt match but the wires were the same , whilst they both work fine i have been told that they had the autofolding feature and would like to kow that if i bouth the switch to do so would they just work straight away??

also ive tried a switch that had the auto feature on it and it didnt work and as a consequence am having difficulty finding a switch with the auto folding feature on it that doesnt have the automatic window feature on aswell as it doesnt seem to work in my car unless the switch is simply broken i dont know
??

You have to manually turn the switch to fold / unfold them.
Auto folding needs a late 04 onwards multiplexed BSI unit, software update & BSI configuration tweak.
If your preplexed then your gonna need relays to get auto folding.

im multiplexed, so the only way to do it is get a bsi update etc??

Depends on the age of the BSI unit, early ones dont even have the option in the configuration set up.

Yep it can be set to autofold with ignition turned off/on

mine was an 02 and they worked fine when i fitted auto fold to my old gti and that didnt have any updates or anything :s

Lee activated the auto fold in the BSI on my 53 plate. Just need to save up for the mirrors now.

So your 02 plate GTI folding / unfolded the mirrors when locked / unlocked with the remote fob?
