I have a 206 2.0 hdi, it definately has red spax springs fitted to the vehicle. I have noticed that the drivers side spring has snapped a coil so i will need to replace.

I am going to stick with spax as my car looks spot on, but as i have a 206 hdi 2.0 2000 w reg, i am not sure how low the car is (how much the car has been dropped) at the front.

I think spax only do one sort for the 206 2.0 hdi, need help please on how low my car is on the spax springs that i have, as the car does look quite low at the front...

Lastly, will other 206 springs fit if it is not a hdi, are they all the same?

Thank you very much

Micka

Ensure the top mounts are siezed up as this can put undue twisting forces on the spring causing them to snap prematurely.

Personally never been a fan of anything Spax. Knackered top mounts would eventually cause any spring to go though.

Whilst stationary, turn the steering wheel hard left then right whilst someone is watching the springs. They should rotate smoothly with no juddering at all.

Handy with a spanner
Fairly clued up on 205's; once wrote a pretty good rear beam refurb guide.

Highly recommend the Eibach sportline Wink 45-50mm drop on a gti looked sweet... miss that car sometimes, got H&R on the 207 seem ok don't feel any stiffer than the OEM (but they aren't very soft Razz )
