so, my backbox was hanging nearly on the floor.
went to check it and it was broken off the pipe.
As its saturday, there is no place i can go to get it fix.
Is it ok to drive around without one and is it legal ?

Depends how the police are round you, they may pull you for being too loud.

oh ok thanks. its not that much, its only a 1.4 hdi . its quiet 
do i need a back box or can i get a straight pipe to connect to this one ?

You could de-cat to the back box if you wnted to but you do need a back box.
