It's neither.
It's not real carbon or carbon wrap. It's just an effect.
If you want carbon mirror caps use the black one.

But they ain't silver.
That's my point.
So if you want them to look half decent, do them in black carbon. Alternatively, eBay do some nice brushed alloy 3m vinyl. Which would look nice. probably best suited to a dark car though.
