Hey all,
I start a new job soon but it means travelling 53 miles a day .
I would be interested to find out if my 1.4 LX Auto is performing well compared to the specified MPG. Does anyone know where statistics can be found about the MPG for this car?
I've done some Googling, and have found stats the 1.4 manual variant - would these be the same for auto? I presume autos would get less MPG than manuals?

Yes, the slush box will give you less mpg.

Hehe as I thought! Is it quite a severe loss of mpg, or should I just deduct 2 or 3 miles?

Your probably not far out, as I reckon it's normally 10% less for autos.

Good luck with getting 39 MPG unless you're going motorway/similar type driving.
