hi i have just had peugeot planet plug into my car and every now and then i get a miss fire on my car the faults were both intermitent speed senor. and lambda senor. ihave a 4-2-1 manifold on my car and the sensor is only monitoring one cylinder could this be my problem, has anyone had a similar fault.

I would say the misfire is likely caused by a faulty lamda sensor telling it to run too lean which could give you a speed sensor fault I guess as this sensor info is also used to determine misfires. As each cylinder should be running pretty much the same mixture it should not be a problem to have it monitor only one cylinder unless you have an injector or spark plug issue as well on the cylinder being read. Under full throttle conditions the lamda info will be ignored so if you get the misfire during those times then you may have another issue.

i used pp to clear the fault codes and a couple of days later rechecked and the intermitant speed sensor faulty had reappeared. the car runs fine but going over snake pass the other day, on one of the inclines and the car was near enough on two cylinders
