Hello,

Recently got a 180 which is awesome, loving it so far.

Im used to having quite a loud engine as my old car had a powerflow system.

Funds are short at the moment but Im looking to get more of a beefy sound.

In the long term im looking for a full de cat jan speed system. But for the time being I may just ask a garage to remove the mid box silencer. Quotes for around £50-60 for this.

Will there be any gains? Anyone done this on a standard backbox? Sound good?

Any replies welcome

Ahhhh the old 180 decat question, search the forum. Decatting a 180 isnt gonna give you the result you think it is

janspeed do a sport cat system.. this is the one that most people buy, cause it makes a good sound and gives alright gains! De-catting isnt the way forward with a 180

What is the way forward for 180's? I never get on with the search function on here lol.

Replace the exhaust with a stainless one, may be get a panel filter then leave it alone and enjoy it.

May as well just save your money and buy a janspeed or scorpion cat back. I had a decat on mine and i thought it made a difference depends on how cheap you can get one made for though.
